Beautifully engraved antique stock certificate from the Hutchinson and Southern Railway Company dating back to the 1890's. This document was printed by the American Bank Note Company and measures approximately 11" (w) by 7 1/2" (h).

Historical Context
The Hutchison and Southern Railway Company was incorporated in Kansas in 1897 to acquire the Hutchison and Southern Railroad Company.
The line extended from Hutchison, Kansas to Cross, Oklahoma Territory - a distance of 142.29 miles.
The line later became part of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe system.
