Beautifully engraved antique stock certificate from the Massachusetts Fish Company dating back to the early 1900's. This document was printed by the Security Bank Note Company and measures approximately 11 1/2" (w) by 8 1/2" (h).
This certificate's fantastic vignette features a busy commercial wharf.
The Massachusetts Fish Company was incorporated in Maine in 1907 as a consolidation of fifteen New England fishing interests.
The company's first President was C. M. Prankard of the Central Fish Company of New York. The original plan was to call the company the National Fish Company, but this was changed when organization papers were filed.
