Historical Context

The Madison & Kedzie State Bank was organized in 1913, its primary aim was to better the community in which it was located by merchandising and making thrift more profitable.

The original location was 3131 W. Madison Street, but in 1921, the company moved into its new location at the corner of Madison & Kedzie.

On February 10, 1930, the company was re-organized as the Madison-Kedzie Trust & Savings Bank.
