Beautifully engraved antique stock certificate from the Lincoln National Bank of Bath dating back to the 1860's. This document, which is signed by the company President and Cashier, was printed by Hatch & Co. and measures approximately 10 1/2" (w) by 6 1/4" (h).
The certificate's vignettes features the United States Capitol Building at the top and a basket of fruits and vegetables at the bottom.

The Lincoln National Bank of Bath was chartered in Maine as the Lincoln Bank on June 15, 1813. It was later organized as a national bank under an act of Congress on June 3, 1864.
In late 1910, it was consolidated with the First National Bank of Bath.
The bank printed US currency between 1865 and 1910.
