Nicely engraved antique stock certificate from the Kosse Perpetual Royalty Syndicate dating back to the 1920's. This document, which is signed by the company Sole Trustee, was printed by Goes and measures approximately 10 3/4" (w) by 8 1/2" (h).
The vignette features a broad oil field scene. There is also a gushing oil well in the lower right corner.
The Kosse Perpetual Royalty Syndicate was formed in Texas in 1922 and was based in Fort Worth.
The company was one of the countless entities that tried to capitalize on the oil boom in the Burkbennett field during the early 20th Century. It does not appear to have ever reached a viable production output.
