Nicely engraved antique bond certificate from the Elk Horn Coal Corporation dating back to the 1920's. This document, which is signed by the company Vice President and Assistant Secretary, was printed by the Republic Bank Note Company, and measures approximately 10" (w) by 15" (h).

The company had properties in Floyd, Letcher, Knott, Pike, Magoffin and Johnson Counties in Kentucky; and Randolph, Upshur and Harrison Counties in West Virginia.
The company's headquarters were located in Charleston, West Virginia.
