Historical Context
The Pecksport Connecting Railway was incorporated April 29, 1886, under the general laws of New York. It was controlled by the New York, Ontario & Western Railway.
The line was a single-track, standard-gauge, steam railroad, located in the central part of New York. The owned mileage extended northeasterly from Pecksport to Whites Corners - a distance of 3.70 miles. The Pecksport Connecting Railway also owned yard and side tracks totaling 1.212 miles. In total, the line owned 4.912 miles of all track.
