The Thirty-Fourth Street Crosstown Railway Company was chartered March 18, 1896. The company was a horse road, and was a consolidation of the Thirty-Fourth Street Railroad Company and the Thirty-Fourth Street Ferry & Eleventh Avenue Railroad Company.
The entire capital stock was owned by the Metropolitan Street Railway Company.
The line extended from foot of East 34th Street to foot of West 34th Street and their was also trackage to the 42d Street Ferry.
All told, the company wwns 2.52 miles of track and leases 4.46.
