The American Cigar Company was created by Albert Gold in New Jersey in 1901 as a subsidiary of the American Tobacco Company.
In 1936, the company was renamed the American Cigarette and Cigar Company.
The company was best known for its line of Pall Mall cigarettes.
In 1953, the company was merged into the American Tobacco Company.
