Historical Context
The Kansas City, Beatrice and Western Railroad Company was incorporated in New Jersey in 1902.
The company planned to build a 15-mile long line from Beatrice, Nebraska east to Virginia - where it would have connected with the Missouri Pacific Railroad.
It does not appear that it ever got past the early financing stage, and the company's charter was voided in 1906 for non-payment of taxes.
