Historical Context
The Enos Electric Railway Supply Company was incorporated in Maine on January 9, 1886. Company offices were located in Boston, Massachusetts.
Enos patented a trolley system, where the train was suspended from a signle rail above the cars. The company developed slick models showing their trains seemingly hanging in thin air, well above the hustle and bustle of city streets. At least one entity was formed (in St. Paul, Minnesota) to attempt to construct and operate the Enos system, but there is no evidence the company even reached the building stage.
The company was reorganized as the Enos Electric Systems Company on May 25, 1888, before fading into oblivion.
