Historical Context
The Columbian-Sterling Publishing Company was formed in June 1911 through a merger of the Hampton's Magazine Publishing Company and the Columbian Magazine Publishing Company.
The newly-formed company published Hampton’s, The Columbian, Tthe Home, The Sterling, Orff’s Farm Review, and The American Woman's Review. The company also published books.
The company filed for bankruptcy in November of 1911 under the cloud of scandal, with the company President and Vice President being investigated for stock fraud.
