Historical Context
The Kaye-Halbert Corporation was an early television maker that was originally founded in Los Angeles, California in 1949. A short time later, most of the company's presence was located in Culver City.
The company's most famous model was the Cambridge, which the company touted as being in the homes of such Hollywood-type stars as Dorothy Lamour, Andy Devine, and Jerry Colonna.
However, the company's distribution network was primarily limited to the Western United States, with Ohio being the most-eastern point. This didn't allow to compete with the big national names of the time like RCA, GE, Magnavox and Crosley - and the company was in bankruptcy by 1954.
