Historical Context
The Lehigh Valley Terminal Railway Company was incorporated in New Jersey on August 20, 1891 as a consolidation of the Roselle and South Plainfield; Newark and Roselle; Newark; Jersey City, Newark and Western; Newark and Passaic; Edgewater; and Jersey City Terminal Railway Companies.
The company's line ran from South Plainfield to Jersey City, New Jersey - a distance of 25 miles.
The line eventually became part of the Lehigh Valley Railroad system.
