Beautifully engraved antique bond certificate from the Newark Mining and Milling Company dating back to the 1910's. This document, which is signed by the company President and Treasurer, was printed by the L. B. Brooks Company and measures approximately 10 1/2" (w) by 14 1/4" (h).
The vignette features a pair of miners with a tram in a tight seam.

Historical Context
The Newark Mining and Milling Company was incorporated in Maine in 1902.
The company operated the Bay State mine in the state's Newark district. The mine primarily produced silver, with some copper, lead and gold.
