Historical Context
This company was based in Chicago, Illinois and was the owner of the patents granted to Barney J.Gagnier, of Detroit, Michigan, for suspended railways, which could be used for the transportation of passengers, teams, wagons, etc.
The company had an installation over Tennessee River in Knoxville on the property of the Unakaa Park Company.
The company was also noted for discussions it had to build a suspended railway bridge across Niagara Falls. The bridge was to be stretched between the Clifton House on the Canadian side and the Davis Museum. However, the project never took hold.
