The Wausaukee Telephone Company was incorporated in Wausaukee, Wisconsin in 1902. After the first year, the company had five miles of toll lines and 17 subscribers in Marinette County who paid $1 per month for service.
In 1904, the company sold its toll line to the Wisconsin Bell Telephone Company.
