Historical Context
The Erie and Black Rock was incorporated March 28, 1882, under the general laws of New York to construct and operate a railroad in Buffalo. The date of its organization was March 29, 1882.
The company operated 1.445 miles of track, which was constructed for it by the New York, Lake Erie and Western Railroad Company during 1882 and 1883.
In 1932, the line was folded into the Erie Railroad.
