Historical Context
Detroit Harbor Terminals, Inc. was was incorporated in Michigan in 1930 as a successor to the Detroit Railway & Harbor Terminal Company.
The company's 10-story warehouse was located on the Detroit River just downriver from the Ambassador Bridge between South McKinstry and Clark Streets on West Jefferson Avenue. It eventually became part of the Port of Detroit. At one time, it was the largest warehouse and cold storage facility in the area.
The warehouse, which was also known as Boblo Terminal, sits abandoned to this day.
