Historical Context
This company was originally known as the National Fireproofing Company which was founded in 1889 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
The company's name was changed to Natco in 1933.
The company manufactured bricks, hollow tiles, and many other building materials - and its peak operated 23 manufacturing plants.
Natco was also known for their conduits. These were telephone tiles, which held underground cables. These conduits were also used as drainage tiles.
Natco later consolidated with Carlton tools to become NATCO/Carlton. Eventually, this maker of radial and spindle arm drill presses was taken over by Lucas Precision.
