Nicely engraved antique stock certificate from the Florence Stove Company dating back to the 1940's. This document, whihc carries the printed signatures of the company President and Treasurer, was printed by the American Bank Note Company and measures approximately 11 1/2" (w) by 7 1/2" (h).
This certificate's fantastic vignette features a trio of male allegories, with an anvil, pick axe and more!
This company was originally incorporated in Florence, Massachusetts as the Florence Machine Company. They were the second incarnation of the company (at least in terms of name) – the original manufactured sewing machines back in the 1870’s.
The company also made waffle irons.
Later, the company had manufacturing locations in and Alabama and Illinois.
