Product Details
Beautifully engraved antique bond certificate from the Shore Line Railway Company dating back to the 1890's. This document, which is signed by the company President and Secretary, was printed by the New York Bank Note Company and measures approximately 10" (w) by 14 1/2" (h).
This certificate features a pair of vignettes - a man stoking a boiler at the left and a female figure at the right.
Over 30 coupons remain attached at the top margin.

Historical Context
The Shore Line Railway was incorporated in New Brunswick, Canada in 1889.
The company operated a line from St. John to St. Stephen.
By 1907, the company had defaulted on its bonds, and the New Brunswick Southern Railway Company was incorporated to acquire the Shore Line's assets.
