Nicely engraved antique stock certificate from the Kansas, Oklahoma Central and Southwestern Railway Company dating back to the 1890's. This document, which is signed by the company President and Secretary, measures approximately 10" (w) by 8" (h).
This certificate features a vignette of the Liberty allegorical, and eagle, a shield and a flag.

Historical Context
The Kansas, Oklahoma Central and Southwestern Railway Company was incorporated in the Territory of Oklahoma in 1897. The company operated a line from Owen to Owasso.
The company became part of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe system in 1900 and line was later extended to Tulsa.
