Historical Context
The Manati Company of Cuba was originally incorporated in Minnesota before becoming an Arizona entity around 1915.
The company originally owned over 50,000 acres along Manati Bay in Cuba, which had expanded to over 300,000 by the mid 1920's.
The company also owned a factory, wharves, warehouses and a railroad designed to serve the area's vibrant sugar industry.
The company's fortunes declined in the late 1920's and there is no evidence it survived the Great Depression.
