Historical Context
Stone Cabin Consolidated Mines, Inc. was incorporated in Delaware in 1931.
The company's properties were located near the Little Pony, Meadows Springs, Dayton, Lyon County, Nevada.
The company operated a 500-ton milling plant, which grinded to 10 mesh, separating the sand and slimes, and handled the sand by cyaniding, and the finer production, by flotation. Later the flotation concentrate was sent to the cyanide tanks. The Fahrenwald flotation cells, and the Merrill-Crowe cyaniding process, were used.
The mining operations were on a 200-foot vein of low-grade gold ore, which were handled by glory hole methods.
