Historical Context
This line was incorporated in Washington on August 27, 1900 as a consolidation of the Everett & Monte Cristo Railway (incorporated March 14, 1892) and the Snohomish, Skykomish & Spokane Railway and Transportation Company (incorporated April 23, 1891.)
The company operated over 60 miles of track, with the main line running between Everett and Monte Cristo.
The line, which primarily served the areas mining and timber industries, was acquired by the Northern Pacific Railway on August 1, 1903.
